I'm a assembly specialist, fancy title right? Mmhm.

I am a part of a wonderful team that builds,crafts, and package all rifle paper goods.

It's been such a fun job.

I work with so many creative people!

I'm truly enjoying it and feeling super blessed.

Moving has been a crazy, never ending mess!

I have no idea how Josh and I have SO much stuff.

and by Josh and I... I mean....ME.

I just like to include him in so he doesn't feel left out.

I LOVE things to be organized and neat and I want it be SO neat that it takes me forever to organize it because I think about it way too much. I always want everything to make sense.

I've been trying to find a permanent home for every little thing and working on house projects here and there, when I have the chance.

Josh use to have 2 roommates before we got married and if you don't know, boys living together is cooties living in paradise.

I've been doing a lot of deep cleaning and getting rid of hand -me -down things.

I'm hoping to start putting together our room

(it's pretty bare)

Our kitchen needs a little attention.

We're desperate to find a mid century/vintage/antique/retro wood dining room set.

I'm not settling for anything other. Let the waiting game begin!

Right now, we have a small table with 2 1/2 chairs

(one is breaking)

A long time ago,

Amanda Woodford messaged me on facebook about a trade I was offering. We traded a headband for a portrait.

We've become good friends after that.

She's lovely :)

It came out so wonderful I knew I wanted to use it for something.

I got engaged and decided to have them on our wedding invites.

I painted them and had Amanda refine them.

I was so happy with the final results.

My dear friend Steph put everything together and she used her own hand writing for the font.

After everything was finalized we sent it off to gotprint.com

(very affordable)

I spent just as much as I would if I was to buy ink for my printer.

My favorite photo.

A lot of people are asking me about my hair accessory, dress and josh's outfit.

Hair accessory I made with vintage lace, a vintage rhinestone and left over twig from the chandelier I made. ha!

Dress shopping was the worse! I hated every dress in any store no matter how much it was.

I happen to think it's a bit overrated to spend so much money on a dress you only get to wear once for a couple of hours.

I could careless if it's your "one day" to wear "The dress".

I say, put the money towards something else.

I finally found a photo of vintage dress I liked and my mom got a hold of a great seamstress who barely charged us anything.

We pretty much just bought the materials.

I wanted something simple,classy and modest.

Tie & vest are vintage and thirfted.

Shoes : forever21.

Josh and I loved our wedding, loved our honeymoon and love living life together as one.

I feel very blessed.

My vision & goal was to make a beautiful handmade wedding with out breaking the bank! I did my research for every little detail and although it was a lot of work, I rather work hard and not over spend. You have to find a balance in what is worth spending on and what you can probably make your self. I thrifted ALOT, I went to yard sales, I checked craiglist, I checked the clearance isle any where I went! I would post on facebook what I needed and people were so helpful in leading somewhere where I could possibly find it.
I would even find things on the road, like the wooden spool I use as a table for the suitcase for our cards.
My step dad and I made the dessert & drink tables out of wood pallets that were free.I would just go to these warehouses and ask them if I can have a few. I've also been collecting little knick knacks here and there before I got engaged. I never wanted to be that girl who was planning her wedding way before she got engaged but my friend who had the most gorgeous wedding ever seen! It was a anthropology dream wedding. I asked her where she found a lot of the things in her wedding and she said she found them all at yard sale and thrift store. she had been saving things before she got engaged. Her advice to me was " Get over it, you know you're going to marry him, be that girl and start collecting things" so I did and it made the planning a lot easier. A lot of the details I started collecting cost pennies! Trust me when I say, I really wanted to work with what I found.

Josh's vision:

I definitely wanted a celebration. I am marrying my best friend and I wanted to celebrate that day with close friends and family. To many weddings are like broadway productions and everything is planned down to the minute. I can say that ours was a very relaxed atmosphere, Tammie and I knew what we wanted it and achieved it by planning our own wedding. We really didn't have a schedule for things.We truly wanted everyone to sit back and enjoy this day with us.Nothing amazed me more than her hard work. All the days of working, crafting, and shopping on a budget truly left me speechless when I saw all of her decorations and plans come to life. Every little detail was handmade by her. She is an extremely creative person and never ceases to amaze me when she allowed to take control and pursue her vision.

I know someone who sells old windows for $5 and I bought two. Different styles.

This one I made it into a photo collage , near the photobooth. It's pictures I ordered from Postalpix.com I loved how these turned out. Most of them are photos on my instagram from when Josh and I got in engaged in Paris and photos with people in our wedding party. I wanted photos of our close friends to show why we chose them to stand next to us on this day!

I don't know if you remember when I made this bride & groom terrarium but if you don't or

This vintage suitcase I found at a thrift store for $2 and I spray painted it ivory.

then I replaced the fabric inside.

I made this floral art piece a long time ago and thought it would go well with everything.

Another favorite, the altar! This was also cheap.

My husband parents own a lot of property and they have tons of trees in their backyard. They let us cut a few to make this altar.

Then I hung some gold stars ornaments.

It made it look extra magical in the sun!

I cut little thin branches and put them together on the top and I added some moss.

all that was free.

Thank you nature.

The paper flowers & pinwheels I made.

The big flowers like the green & yellow ones I got on clearance for $3.00 for 3.

shepherds hooks I got at a dollar store and I sprayed painted them gold.

clear mason jars are all thrifted and some given to me. Josh's opa has tons!

I saw this idea on pinterest. I was hunting for an old bike everywhere! last minute, like 2 weeks before the wedding I was driving by someones house and saw they had 3 vintage bikes on the curb. I wasn't sure if they were trashing them or just had them aside. They looked like they were cleaning their shed. I decided to double dare my self and park in front of their home. I didn't see anyone around, finally some pirate looking guy opens his door and said " arrg!"...okay. I'm joking..but definitely not joking about him looking like a pirate (super creepy). All of the sudden I start questioning what I was doing.I was alone. (desperate bride)

I just simply asked what he was going to do with the bikes and he said "trash them!" I thought oh..in that case, sold, I'll take a free bike.

Just so you know, these bikes were not in good condition. Just letting you know before you think I would ever destroy an old bike.

It took like two spray paint bottles to finish it.

The thrift store I always go to has baskets for 25 cents. I bought 3 and put one in the front and two on the side of the seat and filled them with flowers and hung a antique milk glass bottle on the handle with a flower.

ah! one of my favorites finds. I got this antique remington typewriter for $10.00 including the table! Isn't she a beauty? I love it. It's now in our home.

This is the second old window I bought.

I painted the glass with chalk paint and placed it by the sign in area.

I knew I wanted this patio set as our bride & groom table. They could cost you an arm and a leg and you can probably lose an arm and a leg trying to carry it.It's so heavy! I lucked out and found it on craigslist for $45.00.

It use to be white and it was a tad rusty. I used high gloss grey paint and it looked new!

Fire pit for smores.

I made LOTS of pom pom's.

I dyed them with food coloring and made them from coffee filters. They were everywhere and I made them all by self. It was a quite a process and very time consuming but definitely worth it and super cheap! I bought a pack of 100 for $1.00 at the dollar store.

Round pin wheels I made from scrapbook paper book.

This branch I got at a yard sale for $1.00 and the candle chandeliers I got from Amazon.com for $12.00

Aqua mason jars I found at thrift stores. My uncle hit a jack pot at a yard sale and then surprised me with them. It totally made my day when he did that! he bought them for $1.00. I had one on every table.

Then I just painted it with ivory paint that I already had and made it look a little distressed.

I have a huge collection of these antique pink depression tea cup set. I bought them at a thrift store ( still in the original box.Made in france) for $16.00 I believe I have 40 pieces, not too bad huh? :)

I wanted the set for a coffee & tea area. This project was cheap and easy! I just painted the pallet, bought some hooks at the dollar store and started drilling and tah-dah!

I love that all through our home we have pieces from our wedding.

It's a lovely reminder of one of the best days of our life.

Wedding photos part 2 : Reception.

We were blessed to know a family who has this property. This barn had lots of tools, a boat, a car and we transformed it into the reception area.

This family has known Josh for years. Their house being offered to us to have our wedding was a huge, huge blessing and a BIG help to our budget.

Also, Josh's parents are children pastors and they had the cotton candy, snow cone, pop corn machines. My brother is a manager at total wine and he got us the sodas. We had Orange cream, Shirley temple, Root beer, Coke.

The lanterns were given to me by my old roomie (Ahni) that was also a big help.

Josh and I were finding our sources and working with what we could get our hands on.

Quick update: I'm married now! Our wedding and honeymoon were incredible! I can't wait to sit down and start uploading some pictures and share all the craftiness behind it.

Since we've been back it's been non-stop. If we're not running errands, we're unpacking and cleaning. It's been super overwhelming. I have a hard time organizing a small room and now I have a whole house! which I'm very thankful for. I love our home. Don't get me wrong, I'm no hoarder. I love a clean and neat home, I hate clutter. It just takes me a bit to find a home for things and organize the best that I can.

We still need a dining room set and I'm not settling.

I'm dreaming of walking into a thrift store or a yard sale and falling inlove with a dining room set.

I'm drooling over these.

I want these chairs SO BAD! I can tell you right now, As much as I LOVE Anthropologie, I'm not paying $198 for each chair.

This would definitely be my dream dining room.

We also need furniture for our room. I'll be sharing some inspiration soon.

Yeah, I've been absent lately. I'm sorry! Things have been super hectic around here.

I'm still missing my camera and I just got my laptop back and I'M GETTING MARRIED ON SATURDAY!

anyways, I just got my engagement photos.

The talented, lovely Raychel Mendez captured these with her assistant, Cody.

Josh and I were so nervous! We've never had anyone take our photos, why? we're awkward people, haha, it's true. We both can be kind of shy.

Lace dress: Thrifted for $4.00! mmhm.

It use to be super long and I had the same lady who made my wedding dress make it knee length.

I have been IN LOVE with this dress for at least 3 years! I've been saving it for my engagement photos.

I woke up to this note this morning. I just had to share.

To God be the Glory! My wonderful Love's Birthday is this Tuesday! She becomes more and more beautiful everyday! We have been dating a little over three years and have known each other for more than 4. Since the day I saw her I knew I wanted her to be my wife. Well the day I saw her I was not exactly husband material either, but she, Tammie, was always ready to be a wife. Her Love for the Lord for starters, she has been down quite the rough roads, but still turns to God in it all. I would have broken in her situation but she stayed together. It is amazing to see someone trust the Lord and love the lord as much as she does. As her Husband to be I can't be more excited to have someone help me love the Lord as much as she does. Secondly, her beauty! She is absolutely the most beautiful woman to walk this earth. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a woman that I find prettier each and everyday. As her husband to be I am not quite a stud, but I do feel pretty awesome walking next to such a beautiful woman. Next her creativity. I do not know where she gets ideas but the ideas amaze me. She can decorate better than any design show I have ever seen, and craft any idea she has. A little engineer and she is all mine. She has the ability to think in ways I never would, and use her creative mind in times I feel stuck. As a husband to be I want that creative beauty to wear off on me and help shed light on things in a different way (also it helps that she can pick paint colors and what clothing I should wear). Next how smart she is. Ever since I met her, I realized she is smarter than me, she would never admit it though. She knows how to understand people and understand the importance of trusting the Lord. As her Husband to be, I am thankful I can go to someone with such wisdom and get her help. Next is she is funny. Girls are just not funny, I do not know why this is. Tammie has always made me laugh. As her husband to be I cant wait to have her by my side to laugh with. The last thing I will mention is her love for people. I have seen some people treat her pretty crummy and she still is able to put a smile on and not get bent out shape. Best of all she is still able to show the Love of Christ to everyone, in everyway, everyday. She has sympathy and understanding the way Christ would. She has shown me the importance of Loving my family and being thankful for them. Her love for me is amazing. I do not know why she chose me, but her support and love is an amazing picture of Christ's love for us. As her husband to be, I want her love for others to wear off on me so I can in turn show the same love to others.

As her husband to be... well 3 years ago I was a mess. She changed me. for the better. When you meet someone like her, you have to shape up :) and I am thankful for it every day. Like I said I was a mess. I lacked discipline and had character calloused over. I must say I was a lot of work, and I am sure she would agree. I do not know why she put up with me but I am thankful for the man I am becoming everyday with her in my life. I hope she is thankful for who I am becoming as well :) well as her husband to be I would not be where I am without her, and I wouldn't have grown to who I am without her. I know I need a lot of work, but she is helping me lol. greatly. Although Marriage is a new thing to Her and I, we definitely know that this is the next step God wants us to take. I am looking forward to what God can and will do while we trust him. and learn to grow together!

It is hard to believe this journey started over 3 years ago and now in less than 40 days were moving on the next phase in our lives. Marriage! I am beyond excited to be marrying my best friend. Although this is a little scary, I couldnt have chosen a better sidekick. ( as for reasons state above)

for all the naysayers, I am thankful for you. You do give me a lot of drive to press forward and you also allow opportunity for My God to be God. And He will continue to do so.

Thank you Mom, Dad, Danny, Jess, Violet, Luke, Brad, Kirby just to name a few, for love, support, Prayers, and walking this Journey with me. I cant wait to see what God does.

Tammie! thank you for being such an amazing blessing to my life, and loving, praying for, and supporting me! I cant wait to see what God does with us. Happy Birthday a little early! its the only one you have as a fiance so enjoy it! :)

And God, you know our hearts and our minds and we thank you for this wonderful opportunity you have blessed us with, Thank you for giving us the Go to move forward in this next step of my life. Thank you for always being there and always loving us more than anything or anyone ever could.

Less than 40 days till we get married. Its Go Time!

I've been so busy wedding planning & crafting! I can't believe it's right around the corner.

It's been so hard not having my camera which explains the lack of blog posts.

I'm praying for a miracle. I hope I get it fixed before my honeymoon. I called canon and they said they have never heard of the problem I'm having and it's SO expensive to get it fixed. I'm broke! wedding planning drains your pocket.

Vintage dress make over!

First of all,

Sorry for the poor quality photos.

Sadly, my camera decided to stop working : (

You'll have to settle for iphone photos.

Okay, I got this white dress at the thrift store and it reminded me

of a nurse uniform.

When I saw it I knew it had potential.

I loved the shape of the sleeves and the neckline.

I already had dark brown fabric dye and a roll of gorgeous cream lace I've been dying to use!

As fun as it's been making things for my wedding it was a nice break making something for my self.

anyways, here it is!

I couldn't wait to jazz it up!

After it was finally dry I had to cut it and shorten it.

Then I added the cream lace to the sleeves.

oh and I love that it already had cream plastic buttons.

It's probably my favorite little detail.

I LOVE terrariums!

There's just something magical about them.

I'll never forget when my aunt gave me my first terrarium necklace with a real plant inside.

I thought I was the coolest kid, ever!

I've been in the hunt for terrariums.

Wedding inspiration & colors!

My colors are:

Peach, light pink, aqua blue,light gold, light yellow, mint green,light grey.

Ivory and white :)

Are you out of breath just reading all that? I am.

I picked a lot of pretty colors that work well together.

Don't be afraid of using more than your usual 3 colors for a wedding!

I'm having a very romantic/fun fall backyard wedding in November.

Did I mention I don't have a location or a dress yet? ha.

I think I'm going to have it made for me.

I recently went dress shopping and didn't find anything I loved.

Wedding dresses remind me of :

- A Christmas tree with all the bling!

(All I needed is a star on my head.)

- A cupcake.

(I love cupcakes I just didn't want to feel like I was wearing one.)

-Bed comforters & throw pillows.

( don't ask why)

And I don't want a strapless dress which is 98% of the dresses right now.

haha! so that's my two cents on wedding dress shopping.

I did find a picture of something I really do want.

I hope the seamstress fairy can call all the singing birds and make it for me.

It's been so hard planning a wedding.

I wish all my bridesmaids lived near me.

I've been working on projects on my own and it's all very time consuming.

I'm looking forward to all the results.

I'm honestly just so excited to start my life with Josh!

He's such a sweetie. I can't believe I get to marry him in November.

Well, here is what's on my inspirational board.

DIY flower arrangement !

Here is what I used:

-Small Styrofoam balls. (.50 cents @ a thrift store)

-Elmers school glue. (.49 cents @ craft store)

-Hot glue gun.

-Brush.

-Champagne color microbeads by 'Recollections' . ($4.00 @ Michaels craft store)

-Wooden skewers. ($1.00 @ the dollar store)

-Pistachio green spray paint by 'Krylon' ($2.98 @ walmart)

For my wedding I will be mixing in real flowers with handmade flowers.

It's a great way to save money and stay within your budget with out looking like you cut corners

(at least I happen to think so)

Before you gather your materials make sure you plug in your hot glue gun so you have something working for you.

I spray painted the skewers pistachio green.

You may paint them any color of your choice.

These beads also come in other colors.

Don't let 3.2 oz fool you, it goes a long way!

I actually took the pictures after I was done making these.

I poked a hole in the styrofoam ball and I placed hot glue on the tip of the skewer and placed it back in.

I lightly brushed Elmers glue all over the styrofoam ball.

I poured the some of microbeans in a glass cup so it's easier to dip and coat.

and tah-dah!

Here are the results.

I'm inlove with the way they look!

This is definitely a fun and easy project!

I'm putting this little notepad out at my wedding.

My guest are more than welcome to write us a note :)

I think it will be fun to read on our honeymoon.

I bought this notebook on clearance for 60 cents at my local craft store. One of the main reasons why I wanted it was because it's a kraft paper notebook inside. I wasn't a fan of the design in the front so I covered the hard cover with burlap fabric.

tah-dah! I decided last minute to hand paint the lace and changed the ribbon that keep the notebook together, just to give it a little more color.

I'm trying to take pictures of all my projects so that I can share with you all.

some I'll have to keep to my self so that I can at least surprise you with something ;)

My engagement story!

Josh and I were invited by our church to go on a mission trip to Germany. This was my 2nd time going and Josh's 3rd time going. The mission trip is a week long. Josh and I were staying another week to spend some time with his family that lives in Germany. Josh surprised me with Paris train tickets for the day. I didn't think anything of it, I mean we were only 3 hours away from Paris, why wouldn't you take advantage of that?

Josh is the type of guy who LOVES planning great dates (he's very romantic).

I'm a blessed little lady!

We get to Paris around 10:00 am and immediately Josh is taking pictures and videos which is normal! I saw him on his phone a lot and I kept saying

"Why don't you edit the video when we get to the train station on the way back, we have some time to kill" he just kept brushing my comments off.

We did some sight seeing, we ate at a cute bakery, we shopped did the whole touristy thing. We finally get to the most beautiful place, luxembourg gardens and he tells me to pick a spot. I'm a private person so I picked a spot where there wasn't a lot of people around (thank God).

After a long week of not getting enough rest and trying to adjust to the time change I was so exhausted and I wasn't feeling good! I was really looking forward to just sitting and relaxing.

So we sat down...

Josh asked : So what was your favorite part of today?

Me (tired) : This! just sitting and relaxing soaking everything in.

Josh: Hey, want to see the video I put together? I used one of my songs for it.

Me: Sure!

as soon as I hit play he said, Happy 3 year anniversary! This song is about you.

He's written me songs before so I didn't think anything of it....still.

As it's playing I'm like aww how cute and towards the end of the video I said, wait this isn't Paris or Germany and when I looked at him he looked so nervous.His best friend Luke filmed him at one of my favorite spots back home. It's this dreamy abandoned house down town. In the video he walks around and sits on the steps and he's holding my ring in his hands and when I realized what was happening I FREAKED and started crying (of course) and he takes my hand and puts my ring on my finger. He didn't even have a chance to ask me " Will you marry me?" we were both busy crying so much. It was such a sweet proposal and so creative!! He put together this video on his phone of everything we did through out the day!

How amazing is that!? I was so impressed in how sneaky he was about everything.

Josh cannot keep a surprise to him self!

The whole day I was so giddy and I kept saying "I can't believe we're engaged!!I can't believe we're getting married" Then we walked around trying to find wifi so we can share the news with family and friends!

I've always said that I never wanted a long engagement. I don't think it's healthy. That's why you should ask when you're ready. Some people get so comfortable with the idea and they end up playing house for a while. I've never been a fan of that. I've saved my self for the real thing for a reason.

I've told him only ask me when you're ready, you've prayed about it and your confident and you've thought about everything and you're ready to plan a wedding.

so with that said WE ARE GETTING MARRIED November 19th 2011!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to marry the man of my dream.

Josh is everything I ever wanted and more! I ADORE laughing with this man!

He is so hard working! he loves the lord more than anything. He's passionate about music, he's so talented, he's so creative. He has such a heart for ministry and people. He has incredible parents. He's romantic, he's adventurous. He's the sweetest thing that has ever happen to me. I say this with confidence, I KNOW it was the Lord who put us together. God's timing is best! We both waited for each other and I'm so thankful for that. It's so hard to find that these days. I can't wait to see what doors will open in our lives. I can't wait to see how the Lord uses us.

I wouldn't want it with anybody else.

This is my incredible ring! I'm so inlove with it, you have no idea!

Him and I went ring shopping last year. He's always said he wanted to go ring shopping together because he didn't trust himself. I don't blame him. I'm SUPER PICKY! I didn't want a cookie cutter ring. I wanted something "very me" and unique.

So I told him Well, I don't want to go ring shopping when you're planning on proposing because I don't want to know when it's coming. I pick up on things real quick! ( it's really bad)

We went to SO. many. jewelry. stores!! I looked at every site online. I can't even count.

So we just went antiquing instead and we finally find my gorgeous art deco ring!

It's an antique.

I wish I could of taken more pictures. It was just so hard to take pictures together! we were scared of someone stealing the camera. We actually witnessed people stealing and scamming other people. It was bad!

My first wedding DIY!

So I'm going to be honest, I'm kind of over everyone doing the whole mustache thing at weddings. It's over done. I decided to make vintage glasses for my photobooth area.

I got these wooden glasses on clearance for .79 cents at Michaels.

I took them apart using a screwdriver.

All I wanted was the frame.

Josh picked up Pei Wei for dinner ( yum) and since we're going to be honest here, I don't know how to use chop sticks when it comes to food, so I use them for projects instead :)

I picked up Krylon spray paint at wal-mart for $2.98

I choose Ballerina slippers (light pink) & Pistachio ( light green)

I thought chop sticks worked perfect because they have a flat top. It's easier to glue and use than a dowel or a popsicle stick.

I like using Krylon spray paint because it dries nice and fast!

And tah-dah! Here is it:

I'm so excited and overwhelmed. I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I didn't have my computer or internet and my camera wasn't working! :( the good news is, our friend Luke lent us his camera. The bad news is, I don't have the pictures on me. All of them are in Josh's computer and he lives 2 hours away. So I'll have to wait to post them. (yikes)

I would love to post the whole story with pictures and videos. I'm not sure when, but I hope soon. It will be worth it! I'll just say it was the most perfect sweetest proposal! The proposal took place in Paris!! I think someone packed his romantic pants? yes, he did. I'm so inlove with this guy! I wish I could just blab some more but I want to save it for my proposal post!

Is it terrible that I'm planning my outfit already!? That's how excited I am! hello!!! It's Paris!

I'm going to be in Germany May 30th for a mission trip with my church for a week. I'm beyond excited in the way that God is going to use this group to reach out to this country. This would be my second time going to Germany.

I remember it being such an incredible experience and I can't believe I have the opportunity to do it again.

Josh and I are staying 4 extra days. He has family who lives there. He recently surprised me with Paris tickets for the day! I am beyond giddy about the whole idea! SO! I'm not sure when the next time we will be there with that said, we're taking lots of pictures!

I picked out VERY similar items that I will be wearing for my one day Paris trip!

So this is the idea of what my outfit will look like.

She's married!

My friend Margaret got married! She didn't have an official photographer and she asked me to take a few pictures of her when I wasn't too busy being a bridesmaid :) I tried my best playing photographer.

I'm so excited for her new life with her husband Andy.

Margaret is such a great friend to me. When I moved to Spring hill it was not easy making friends. I felt out of the loop. When her and I met we instantly clicked (really! first time we met we talked & laughed for hours) . I laugh till my face hurts with this girl. She's truly been like a best-friend to me. She laughs and she cries with me.

I know a lot of people have this terrible idea about losing your friends when they get married and I hate that. I truly feel like I'm gaining Andy as a friend too.

I'm excited and I love them both. I am praying for blessings to come their way.

The talented, Amanda Woodford messaged me on facebook about a trade I was offering. I traded a headband for a portrait. I love doing trades with other artist. It's so much fun!

I asked her to pick which ever headband she wanted.

Here she is wearing the one she chose.

She is a doll!

I asked her if she can send me a few peeks of her process and she was so understandable and sweet, she said of course she would!

This was the first sketch.

( I was already getting giddy about this!)

then she sent me this!! and I was floored!!! couldn't believe how beautiful it was turning out and how truly talented she is.

I couldn't wait to have it in my hands and in my home.

I'm in love! it's perfect. She worked so hard on it! I was amazed that she finished it within that week of her and I talking about this trade.

This was jewels.My neighbor gave her to me.It was his bike back in the day which makes this story even worse. I had this vision for her and then.....I took her apart to paint her. Painting it my self was really hard and so was trying to put her back together. When I moved I lost a lot of the pieces and I never got a chance to finish this project and unfortunately I had to put her body out on the curb. I hated that day so much. It still makes me sad to think of it. I miss her. I did keep the headlight. I'm hoping I find the perfect bike one day!

{hi}Well, I've been a busy little bee working on dearwhimsy. It's been good though and It's been a tough personal month for me,I'm just giving it to the Lord and moving forward :)

1. I'm excited for my mission trip to Germany. I'll be going at the end of May.

I'm going to Germany!

Dear friends and family,

I am so excited about the opportunity I have in June of this year. I have been invited to be part of ministry team to Germany. We will be conducting a national youth conference and helping a local church evangelize their local area in the former East Germany area just northeast of Hamburg.

I have been asked to go from May 30 through June 7, 2011. I will be joining 12 others; mostly college students, to do the entire ministry during this conference.

This will be my second time going. I remember it being one of the best mission trips I've ever been a part of.

The ministry will vary from drama, worship, evangelistic preaching, and teaching workshops to street crusades.

But I do need help in raising the necessary money – total cost will be $1600.00 per person, while I’m writing you because we are friends, I don’t want to impose on our friendship. If you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. If not with a monetary gift, we do covet your prayers. Thanks for your understanding.

Because the full amount for the airfare is due at the end of April and the remainder is due 14days before we leave for the trip, the earlier I hear from you the better. One of my favorite things to do is giving something pre-loved a second chance to have another look! I love going thrifting! It's honestly one of my favorite things to do. I've always said it's therapeutic. I have this one favorite little thrift store in my town,It's my little secret place. It's pretty magical. It's rare for me for walk out of there empty handed. I'm also all about a good deal! I never like to splurge money. I always remind my self that I'm not taking anything with me when I go to heaven so why spend so much?

One of the things I cannot wait for is decorating my home on a serious budget! We'll see when that happens I'll be sure to post and share some tricks and tips!

Here's a little bit about each photo.

Photo #1:

I bought this night stand for $3.00. I already had the paint and I got a cute rose knob on clearance at Anthropolgie for $2.95. I also bought some feet to give it some height at Lowes for 70 cents for 4.

Total of $6.65 . cheap! That's how I like it.

Photo#2:

My Parents just moved and the new house had this chandelier.

My mom didn't want it because she had a modern chandelier already. So I snatched it for my self.

Spray paint: $2.95 I used 'Caramel latte' by Krylon.

Twig crystal garland was $1.50 at a yard sale.

Plastic Crystals: I got them at Michaels for $3.00 in the wedding section.

Total of $7.45. That's pretty good for a Chandelier.

*I'm saving it for my future home.

I've had this painting for a quite sometime.Someone gave it to me.They were planning on trashing it. I knew I wanted to do something with it.Especially with that spot light. It's a 20x24. I just painted the frame an off white and used a sanding block to give it that 'distressed look'. I bought one yard of burlap fabric on clearance $2.00 .Flowers on clearance $1.50 at Joans Fabric. Doilies for 50 cents and tahhhhh-dah! one of my favorite pieces.

Total of: $4.00

whimsy wedding!

My friend Lauren asked me to make her and her beautiful bridesmaids cute hair clips including something antique and peacock feathers.I also made the ring bearer. It was my first wedding project. It's inspired me to come up with a wedding line for whimsy. I felt honored to make something for her special day.

A few things for my future home.

This beautiful needlepoint art from the 70's was $1.50. I'm obsessed with it! The colors, the details. It's beautiful.

These humming birds were 50 cents for 3. They use to be gold and I spray painted them gray. I also started to play with rope and hot glue gun. This DIY inspired me to do this. It's really fun. I'm going to start doing other things. This one was my first one.

The chandelier was free. I just spray painted it "Caramel latte gold" and I found this beautiful crystal gold garland at a yard sale,I just used one half to go around the chandelier and then the other half to wrap around the sides. I also added crystals to hang down to give it a little something. It was a pretty cheap project. I got the crystals in the wedding section at Michaels for $3.00 for a pack of 40. The garland was $1.50. Spray paint was $2.94.

I can't wait to decorate my future home! I've been collecting little things here and there. I just got the Sofa yesterday for $79.00.what a steal! It's in mint condition. It's real vintage and it also looks modern. Huge fan of those two!

Here's my version of a well done frapuccino at home!

It's a pumpkin spice caramel frap, enjoy!

Here is what you will need.

1.Milk

2. Half and Half

3. Smuckers Caramel sundae syrup.

4. Coffee house inspiration creamer -Vanilla caramel flavor.

5. Espresso

6.Pumpkin pie spice.

7.ICE!

and to top it off nicely,

some

8.Reddi wip!

step 1:Mix 1 teaspoon of the pumpkin spice into the espresso grinds and then make espresso.

step 2: Get your blender ready and pour

1 cup of Milk and 1 cup of half and half.

step 3. Squirt about 4-5 of the Smuckers Caramel sauce into the mix. You may add more depending how sweet you want it.

step 4: 1/2 cup of Coffee house Vanilla caramel creamer.

step 5: Add 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the mix.

step 6: 1/2 cup of espresso!

Remember, you are in charge of how sweet you would like it and how strong you want the coffee to be.

Add ice and blend away!

Then taste it and see what you would want to add more of.

This serves about 4 people.

when you're done, whip it out, drizzle caramel and sprinkle some of the pumpkin pie spice and call your self a barista! Good luck and let me know how it turns out for you.

My parents and josh's parents spent the weekend in Orlando helping him settle in and making his house look like a home and it was A LOT of work but definitely worth it. He was so happy! I am very proud of him. He is the hardest worker! I'm inlove with that man.

My favorite part, he has more than half an acre. He has about 6-7 orange trees,1 apple tree { apple tree in florida? Mmhm}1 lemon tree and LOT'S of GRAPES! and a HUGE tree in the backyard.

I bought this dresser recently for $60.00 with an awesome head board{sorry I didn't get a chance to take a picture of that} It's from the 50's, solid wood! It's an antique and you would never even think it's as old as it is. It looks brand new. not a stain! I'm also inlove with it.
I have been wanting a crystal chandelier for EVER!! I just didn't want to settle for any. I needed {the perfect crystal chandelier} I would check any thrift store, craigslist, ect. In the middle of helping josh move, josh's amazing grandparents gave me theirs!! It was brand new! still in a vintage sears box, crystals still individually wrapped. They never had a chance to hang it up and immediately I was INLOVE!!! It is more than perfect. Not only was it FREE but Josh and I can say that it was his grandparents and it's probably 36 years old. I'm inlove with it!

Aren't these so cute!!? They look like the ones they have in epcot in japan.I'm thinking they are worth a lot. I've tried to do some research on them and I've seen them for $64-104.They were only $2.00. They have a sticker in the bottom that says " TOYO japan" and someone had hand written a serial number on the sticker. So if you find something on them, send the link my way!

Josh's mom got them for me. She loves to go thrifting and we went to this HUGE thrift store. She also got me a really cute apron ( I love aprons ) I'll have to post a picture sometime.

this was in my backyard and I turned it into a craft room?! or wouldn't it be even more amazing if it was a cupcake shop? yeah, it would! It's for sale. why won't they just give it to me? ( dreaming ) I always have to pass by this and see that it's for sale. It hasn't sold. what a tease. It's so cute inside. It definitely needs work though. I've always loved these. It reminds me of a toaster : )

I've had this painting for a while.Someone gave it to me,They were planning on trashing it. I knew I wanted to do something with it. It's a 20x24. I just painted the frame an off white and used a sanding block to give it that 'distressed look'. I bought one yard of burlap fabric on clearance ($2.00), some flowers on clearance ($1.50) doilies for 50 cents and tahhhhh-dah! one of my favorite pieces.

I found this little cutie at a thrift store. It was $3.00! whaaaaat? yep, $3.00. (real wood) I sand it,painted it, bought a cute rose knob on clearance for $2.95 at anthropologie and found some feets to give it some height for .70 cents! then I used the sanding block to also give it the 'distressed' look.

$3.00 and it's listed on ebay for $179.00 $250.95 $179.93.

what a steal!! and I love learning about it. It's in great condition. I would be very surprise to find out that it doesn't work. I can't wait to play with it.

I'm also working on a project for my place. I saw it in one of the anthropologie stores.
